There has been some confusion regarding the Block Party it seems. Everyone will get into the establishments, regardless of your age on an ID, this is because it is not a "Pub Crawl" but a Block Party involving both food and drinks. This is an opportunity to check out places you may never have gone to before and see what they have to offer. I have also heard complaints about the pricing of the shirts. The shirts are American Apparel and because of that they are expensive, another reason is that half of the proceeds from the shirts go to the Gordie Foundation. We are not trying to rip you off, this is an event for you guys and not an opportunity for us to rake in bills from students with limited funds. We all understand that students don't have a ton of money to through around and yes there have been a ton of shirts for sale within the past couple weeks but lets get real, these shirts are really cool and they offer reciprocity in a sense. These shirts, unlike the other shirts sold recently, not only benefit a charity but they get you both food and drink discounts at 9 different establishments within walking distance of Union College. Considering this, I urge you to reconsider participating in the event and advise that you buy a shirt for what will most certainly be a jolly event. Count Down To Event: 3 Days |
